Columbus Avenue Productions is a small, independent media organization led by Matteo Galante, a San Francisco native with deep Sicilian roots. Galante is a crime historian and documentarian specializing in Bay Area organized crime. His family tree extends from Ohio’s Society of the Banana to the San Francisco, San Jose, Milwaukee, and Kansas City crime families, as well as the San Francisco and Brooklyn political machines. As the founder of Columbus Avenue Productions, Galante is currently researching, writing, and producing Golden Gate Underworld, an exposé of the mafia’s tentacles in the Bay Area. ​
